Welcome to my war memorial page. It is important as an artist to use your talent to paint things that invoke emotions in people. As an American I feel I need to give back a little to the generation that gave so much. I am going to use my artists voice to do just that.
It all started when My Grandmother Hrbal gave me two newspapers from 1945. I was stumped thinking how I might preserve them. Then it occurred to me that I might make a collage painting out of them. I asked my Grandmother for some more items & realized I have at least 5 family members who were also in WW 2. My Grandfather Snowden had been wounded in The Battle of the Bulge. He had many items to donate to the painting. His mother had a scrapbook of items like the western union that told her he had been wounded. I started to ask customers at the barber shop & they also had many treasures. The stories that come along with the items are priceless! One Lady was so happy she had a place to bring these things because she did not know where else to take them. Sadly I think some things get tossed when people are gone. I am happy to have created a place for them.

When I am done with the painting I will donate it to a historical society along with a list of names of those who participated. It is one way I can give back to those who gave so much. Want to join me? Please contact me I would love to hear from you!
